Our Story
Shake Rattle & Sew wasn't born in a boardroom.
It was born around a kitchen table.
Back in 2007, I started making baby blankets, burp cloths, and taggies while dreaming of becoming a mom myself.
Life had different plans.
When I learned I couldn't have children, sewing became more than a hobby. It became therapy, purpose, and a way to create something meaningful.
Then my mom and I started creating together.
What began as fabric and thread became memories, laughter, road trips, craft shows, and countless hours spent side by side.
In 2018, my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
Through treatments, appointments, uncertainty, and hope, Shake Rattle & Sew became something bigger than blankets.
It became comfort.
It became connection.
It became a way to help people feel seen and loved.
When my mom passed away in 2022, I made a promise to keep going.
Today, every blanket is designed by me and handcrafted by our South Dakota team using premium luxury minky fabrics chosen for softness, warmth, and durability.
Every blanket carries a piece of our story.
A story of resilience.
A story of love.
A story of healing.
From our workshop in South Dakota to homes across the country, our mission remains simple:
Create comfort that lasts.
One blanket.
One person.
One hug at a time.
Thank you for supporting handmade.
Thank you for supporting small business.
And thank you for letting us be a small part of your story.
